Alyssa grew up in Charlotte. She received her culinary degree from the Art Institute of Charlotte and worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years; including stops in Italy and the prestigious James Beard House. Her focus is on healthy and nutritious food that follows the seasons. In the summer of 2013, she and her boyfriend Andrew opened Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen; where she teaches hands-on cooking classes inside the Atherton Market in Historic South End, and utilizes local ingredients. She loves being part of the community and leading a healthy lifestyle, so naturally she is a huge fan of Lenny Boy Brewing Co! When she is not working at the brewery or teaching classes, she works with the Piedmont Culinary Guild and loves being active; practicing yoga or working out at Madabolic Inc. Her favorite flavor of Kombucha is Elite Beet…but she loves to create unique and tasty blends. Visit her in the taproom to find out what they are!
